This is a brand collaboration project between Alexander Girard and Target, using an innovative and cohesive packaging system to create a thoughtful partnership between the two brands.The graphic solutions throughout this collaboration were inspired by past artwork created by Alexander Girard, certain textiles of the 60’s-70’s, and previous brand collaborations with Target. Elevating his home décor collections by creating various bathroom accessories. The main target audience is consumers who would like to expand their perspective of what is accessible to them, by allowing the opportunity to purchase affordable pieces by an established artist. This packaging system was created using various alterations of a single design solution. On each product the design was handled differently such as changes in contrast of scale, proportion, and emphasis on repetition. This allows each design to be uniquely specific to its certain product within this system. The products and packaging elements were made using decal paper, mat board, spray paint, 8.5x11in woodblock stamps and fabric ink on purchased items.
